Habib Beye
Habib Beye played for Strasbourg before moving onto Marseille in 2003, the move came as quite a surprised as Habib appeared to be settled at Strasbourg and was a firm favourite with the fans and had established himself as one of the best defenders in the French top tier.
In the closing minutes of the summer 2007 transfer dealine, Habib completed a move to Newcastle United for £2million, with manager Sam Allardyce describing the mvoe as a bargain.
Beye scored his first Newcastle goal on 9th December when he scored a last minute winner to defeat Birmingham City at St.James' Park.
