Geremi
Geremi entered English football in 2002 when he moved to Middlesbrough on a season long loan from Real Madrid, earlier he had played for Cerro Porteno and Genclerbirligi.
He joined Chelsea after his loan with Middlesbrough had ended and was a regular under manager Claudio Ranieri. However, when Ranieri departed and Jose Mourinho joined the club Geremi has struggled to hold down a regular first team place, much largely due to the strengths and depth of the club. Although a midfielder he mostly figured as a back up right back for Paulo Ferreira.
Geremi joined Newcastle when Sam Allardyce was appointed manager and was appointed club captain for the 2007/2008 season. However, Allardyce was sacked halfway through the season and Geremi lost the captaincy with new manager Kevin keegan opting for Michael Owen.
