David Rozehnal
David Rozehnal began his career with local side Sigma Olomouc, his performance were enough to earn him a call up to the Czech U21 side where he caught the eye of Club Brugge.
David moved to Brugge in 2003 and made 50 appearances in two years. During his time at the club he helped them to win the Belgian Cup in his first year and as a final farewell he won the Belgian League. He also represented his country at Euro 2004. The Czechs reached the semi final before they were eliminated by eventual champions Greece.
In 2005 he joined Paris St Germain. In 2006/2007 his performances meant that the fans voted him player of the season, his form resulted in interest from Borussia Dortmund, Newcastle United and the reigning UEFA Cup champions Sevilla.
On June 22nd 2007 it was announced that there was a definite agreement between PSG and Newcastle United, he underwent a medical three days later and the transfer was completed by June 29th.
Rozehnal made a successful debut as Newcastle defeated Bolton Wanderers 3-1.
On January 31st, following the sacking of Sam Allardyce, new manager Kevin Keegan sent Rozehnal on loan to Lazio for the rest of the season.
